Guppies is a phrase coined by property listing website Zoopla to describe affluent high earning professionals, who have given up on the prospect of ever owning their own home.

The phrase originated from a 2023 research report where Zoopla Found that more that 40% of under 40’s had given up on owning their own home in the next ten years.
